Three Options for Low Back Pain
There are really only three options when it comes to getting to the root of low back pain.
The first thing people often try to do is nothing, but obviously, that doesn’t work for very long. The pain is not going to go away on its own, and in fact, in most cases, it’ll end up getting worse over time.
The second option is to seek medical care. Most people, though, are looking to avoid addictive drugs or unnecessary back surgery.
So, the third option is really the only natural solution, and that’s seeking chiropractic care. That’s what we’re going to help you do: get to the root of the problem so we can find out how to get your body healing and functioning naturally.
Some people may be hesitant about trying chiropractic just because of the fear of the unknown, but we’re here to help calm your fears and help you get back on the road to healing.
How Subluxation Affects the Body
As a chiropractor, I’m focused on finding and correcting subluxation so that my patients’ bodies can be free of pain and dysfunction. Subluxation is a fancy way of saying misalignment.
When the spine is misaligned, it interferes with our body’s central computer—our nerve system. Information and energy can’t travel between our brain and body, resulting in pain and dysfunction of muscles, joints, and organs. In fact, pain is just our body’s alarm system alerting us to the misalignment.
Correcting these subluxations and restoring proper motion to the spine can clear up the nerve system’s path and allow for the appropriate nerve flow.
Gentle, Specific Chiropractic Adjustments
Adjustments don’t have to be rough to work. We custom-tailor all of our adjustments based on the patient’s specific goals and needs.
Our detailed consultation and exam will help us find the best adjustment for you so that it’s gentle and super specific. Take a look.
ArthroStim Adjustments
Our adjustments can be as simple as using the ArthroStim, which uses a six-hertz frequency and fires three times a second.
Because the body doesn’t understand what’s coming, when we have that force coming in, it actually takes it by surprise because it’s so fast—it’s sub-neurological threshold. Because it keeps firing that quickly, it’s actually able to help get those vertebrae to move a lot easier.
That’s one of the ways we’re able to do an adjustment that’s low-force yet effective.
Drop-Piece Adjustments
A second way we can do an adjustment is with the drop piece. The table pops up, and we can take the uneven pressure off the hips by adjusting the spine using the drop piece.
One of the key features of our office is that we always have your X-rays right in front of us, so we know exactly where we’re adjusting and can be super specific.
Based on the X-rays, when we go to do an adjustment, that little force is the right amount to get the job done.
Flexion Table for Severe Low Back Pain
In severe cases of low back pain, we have a flexion table that actually distracts the spine. As we traction the spine open, we can isolate one joint at a time and move the spine through different ranges of motion.
As we do that, we’re helping create negative pressure to help suck the disc back in. It increases hydration to the discs, increases blood flow, reduces muscle tension, and overall helps speed up the healing process as we take pressure off the nerves.
That’s all it takes to improve mobility, flexibility, and muscle function while decreasing inflammation and pain signals—with zero forceful crunches or prescriptions.
The Benefits of Chiropractic Adjustments
Adjustments don’t just restore joint mobility and relieve pain. They optimize the nerve system for better immune and digestive function, boost energy, and improve focus.
They also release your natural feel-good hormones: endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine.
So many of our patients say the number one thing they regret is not starting chiropractic care earlier. If they knew they could feel as good as they do now, they wish they would’ve done it years ago.
You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain when it comes to getting your health back. So, let’s take a look. Let’s see exactly where you’re at today, find out what your health goals are, and determine what we can do to get you back on the road to health and healing.
